A platform for outstanding chamber choir music
MODfestivals e.V. invites chamber choirs from all over the world to apply for the 20th International Chamber Choir Competition Marktoberdorf, taking place from 14 to 18 May 2027.
The competition brings together the world's best chamber choirs to compare with each other artistically – a platform for exchange on choral literature, interpretations, styles and techniques. A five-member international jury decides on the prizes. The ICCC 2027 is a competition by invitation with up to twelve participating choirs and is divided into two rounds.
1st round
A-cappella programme (15–20 min.) with one work from each of three style periods – including the set work.
2nd round
Ten minutes of freely chosen programme – with instruments, dance and the choir's cultural specialities.
