Silvana Vallesi completed her studies in choral conducting at the National University of Cuyo. With Felipe Vallesi as her most important teacher, she completed her training in postgraduate courses in Latin American music of the 20th and 21st centuries and in various master classes. As conductor of the University Choir of Mendoza, she was the first Latin American conductor to be awarded the European Grand Prix for Choral Singing, Florilege Vocal de Tours France. Silvana Vallesi received the 2019 Konex Prize in the category of Choral Conductor, awarded by the Konex Foundation to the most outstanding Argentine musicians of the decade.

She developed the Latin American repertoire together with the composers. In doing so, and as a guest conductor and teacher in workshops or classes for choral conducting, she has done important work in the dissemination of contemporary Latin American choral repertoire and its interpretation.
