Inessa Bodyako
Associate professor Inessa Bodyako is a renowned Belarusian choral conductor and pedagogue. In 2007 she became the Artistic Director of the student choir at the Belarusian State Academy of Music, where she accepted a position as the Head of the Choral Conducting Department in 2011. Inessa Bodyako often gives lectures on her areas of expertise, such as on the history of Russian choral music and choral conducting techniques.
She was a choir director at the Belarusian national TV and radio broadcasting company and is the founder and main conductor of the “Cantemus” chamber choir. From 1997 to 2010 she was regent of the Orthodox Christmas church (Minsk). Under her leadership, the ensembles became the winners of numerous international competitions all over the world.
Inessa Bodyako has been an initiator and board member for several projects, such as competitions, conferences and festivals in her homeland Belarus. She regularly gets invited as a jury member and guest professor to Germany, China, Romania, Russia, Poland, France, Ukraine, Italy etc. Inessa Bodyako is an Honorary Professor of the Anyang Normal University (China). Since 2016, she is a member of the World Choir Council (INTERKULTUR).
