Host families wanted again
In order to be able to realize the competition MODfestivals has always depended on host families in Marktoberdorf and the surrounding area. As host parents, everyone has the chance to meet singers from many countries, to get to know them and to accompany the competition in a very special way. Private lodgings make it possible to have
encounters and it is not uncommon for long-lasting friendships to develop as a result. Being a host parent means hosting at least two singers over the Whitsun days for five nights and providing breakfast. In return for this invaluable help, the host parents receive two concert vouchers and a program book for each guest they host. For more information, visit www.kammerchorwettbewerb.org.
Reinforcement in the team at MODfestivals
Since Maria Braun has been on parental leave since the beginning of the year, the position of festival manager has been split. Already since September Tabea Langner has taken over a part. Since January 1, Alex Wayandt has also joined the team as festival manager. He has been familiar with festivals for over ten years, has previously worked for the Bavarian Music Council and the Bavarian-Swabian Choir Association, and is very much looking forward to his new tasks at MODfestivals.
