Dr. Matthias Becker studied music education, conducting (diploma) with Helmuth Rilling, and science of music (doctor’s degree). Since 1981 he had teaching assignments or was assistant professor at different universities in Germany and different European countries. As a singer he is 1. price winner of the German „Bundeswettbewerb Gesang“ in jazz. Since 1992 he is a free-lance musician, mainly conducting, also working as arranger, and serves as an adjudicator at many national & international choral competitions. He is sought after as guest conductor and musical adviser all over Europe. Matthias wrote publications concerning voice training and many choir arrangements, published by several publishers in Europe. He is much in demand as vocal coach for choirs - ensembles amateurs and professionals alike, CD productions, and clinician for conductors.
