Ko Matsushita
Ko Matsushita is a composer and conductor born and raised in Tokyo. A prolific composer and arranger, Matsushita's works are performed all over the world. His compositions vary widely, ranging from works based on traditional Japanese music to masses, motets and etudes for choirs.
He was a member of the artistic committee of the 11th World Symposium on Choral Music in Barcelona 2017, and his work "Salva me" was premiered there by the KammerChor Saarbrücken.
He was also invited as a lecturer to the workshop on his works at the Bach Academy Stuttgart in March 2016, and at the same time his new work "De profundis clamavi" was performed by the KammerChor Saarbrücken as a world premiere at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart.
