MODfestivals e.V. is a new member of the Chorberband Bayerisch Schwaben e.V.

In order to facilitate even better cooperation between choirs, associations and institutions, MODfestivals e.V. has joined the Chorberband Bayerisch Schwaben e.V. (CBS). Ramona Wegenast, Managing Director of MODfestivals e.V. and Jürgen Schwarz, Executive President of the CBS, agreed on a committed cooperation within the framework of the membership, especially with regard to the upcoming International Chamber Choir Competition Marktoberdorf 2023.

As one of the four large Bavarian choir associations, the CBS represents the interests of its member choirs and their active singers in politics, business and cultural life. Around 19,300 singers in over 675 ensembles were active in Bavarian Swabia until the pandemic. The promotion of musical education and training in all age groups is one of the important core tasks in the work of the CBS.

The CBS celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2012 and is represented by the Executive Committee with Dr. Paul Wengert, MdL (retired) as President, Jürgen Schwarz as Executive President and Dr. Dr. Anton Losinger as Honorary President.
